When we were preparing our 16 day UK trip itinerary last time, we had an ambitious intention of visiting all the 4 countries, just to say that we went all around UK. Unfortunately, we were on a tight schedule and budget (yes, transportation is very expensive), that is why we did not make it to Wales. Anyway, we scheduled our first weekend to visit the capital and largest city in Northern Ireland, Belfast City. During our first day, we took a Game of Thrones tour which I already shared with you last month on this post. Then, the following day was spent within the city. Spend a Day at Montserrat, Spain
Last month, I posted a blog on the activities that tourists can do in Barcelona, and spend a day at Montserrat was one of those I mentioned. Montserrat is a rocky mountain where you can find a Benedictine Monastery named Santa Maria de Montserrat. There are different reasons why a lot of people visit this place. Some goes here to see the statue of the Black Madonna, some wants to watch the performance of the Montserrat boys choir as they sang Gregorian chants, some goes for a hike to the peak of the mountain while others just want to roam or see the view of Barcelona. But whatever your reason is, you will surely enjoy the time that you will spend here. Continue reading “Spend a Day at Montserrat, Spain”
What to do in Barcelona?
Last Sunday night we went out to watch a Filipino movie entitled Barcelona A Love Untold. It was a typical romantic drama film (I must admit, I like it), shot on one of my favorite cities, Barcelona. While watching, I couldn’t help myself from reminiscing the times when we were there last year, thus the reason why I am writing this now. We spent four wonderful days there and visited some of the famous landmarks. So, if you also fell in love with the city and planning to visit anytime soon, I have listed here some of the activities we have done, as well as those we hope we did, which for me is a must. Discover the Beauty of Scotland – Highlands (Part 3)
The sun was slightly peeking through the clouds on the last day of our tour to the Highlands, but that did not stop the rain from giving us showers from time to time. We checked out from our accommodation early in the morning, and started with the tour lined up for the day. Continue reading “Discover the Beauty of Scotland – Highlands (Part 3)”
A Step Into the Magical World of Harry Potter
I’ve always been a Harry Potter movie fan (yes, movies only, I’m not really into books). Ever since I’ve watched the first film, I was always looking forward for the next installment. That’s why, when we went to UK last August, a visit to the Harry Potter Studio is a must. Continue reading “A Step Into the Magical World of Harry Potter”
Discover the Beauty of Scotland – Isle of Skye (Part 2)
It was still non stop rain on the second day of our tour, despite my continuous prayer and rain dance (haha). Gary (tour guide), jokingly told us that this is the “Ultimate Scottish Experience” that you need to encounter once in Scotland, your tour won’t be complete without the rain. Anyway, the first activity for the day should have been a 1.5 hour boat ride from Elgol to Loch Coruisk, where we will cruise and spot some sea animals. But due to weather conditions, we went to Dunvegan Castle instead, which is the seat of MacCleod clan. Before we reach the castle, we made a short stop at the Fairy Bridge for some photos. Discover the Beauty of Scotland – Highlands and The Jacobite Steam Train (Part 1)
Scotland has always been part of my travel bucket list, that’s why when we planned our UK trip last August, I made it a point to allot at least 5 days to explore this wonderful place. We spent the first 2 days in Edinburgh city, and the next 3 days at Isle of Skye and the Highlands, which is what I am going to write on this post. After our thorough research, we ended up booking a 3 day tour with Discover Scotland Tours, since the places that we wanted to visit were far from each other, public transportation is a bit difficult when getting to places and we didn’t want to rent a car.
